How quickly is my cheese order delivered?+
We ship on Mondays and Thursdays. PostNL aims to deliver your parcel the next working day. If you order on a shipping day, your cheese goes out the same week.
How does the cheese stay fresh during transport?+
We slice your cheese fresh to order and vacuum-seal it straight away in a sturdy cardboard box. Vacuum-sealed cheese is perfectly fine unrefrigerated for a day; if it has softened in the heat, simply put it in the fridge and it fully recovers.
What is the difference between ordering loose cheese and a cheese subscription?+
You order loose cheese as a one-off from the shop, exactly what you need. With De Fijnproever cheese subscription you automatically receive a surprising selection of four special cheeses with cheese stories every month, with no effort on your part.
From what amount is delivery free?+
Within the Netherlands we deliver your order free of charge from €40. Below that we charge a fixed shipping contribution; you see the exact rate in your cart before you check out.
Which cheese can I order for drinks or as a gift?+
For a tasting board you simply put together your own selection from our range. Looking for a gift? Choose De Fijnproever as a one-off cheese box or as a subscription of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.
Do you deliver throughout the Netherlands?+
Yes, we deliver throughout the Netherlands, in Belgium and now in almost all of Europe. Within the Netherlands and Belgium we ship via PostNL, to other countries via DPD.
