A herb cheese and Gouda cheese from the Netherlands. Heublume Original is a cheese that surprises you with its aroma before you even take the first bite. This unique cheese is aged in the Austrian tradition on a bed of hay flowers and herbs such as cornflower, marigold and rose petals, which slowly release their aromatic oils into the cheese. The result is a gently herbal flavor profile with a floral, almost hay-like aroma that is truly one of a kind.
The texture is semi-firm and supple, the flavor mild yet with an aromatic complexity you won't see coming. The rind bears the traces of the herbs and flowers on which the cheese has aged. Heublume is a real discovery on any cheese board, and guaranteed to spark a conversation.
