Hertog Jan Beer Cheese

This beer cheese is the result of an unusual collaboration: brewery Hertog Jan and artisanal cheesemaker Joris Mathijssen from Udenhout joined forces. Hertog Jan Grand Prestige specialty beer is added during the cheesemaking process, resulting in a unique cheese with a deep, warm and slightly sweet flavor profile.

The influence of the Grand Prestige comes through clearly: dark fruit notes, a hint of caramel and that distinctive warmth you get from a great specialty beer. The creamy cheese base keeps everything in balance. The result is a cheese that genuinely tastes like something, a cheese with a story to tell.
