Pepper cheese
Pepper cheese is a spiced Dutch cheese, typically made from young to semi-aged cow’s milk cheese with various types of peppercorns mixed in, often black, white or green. The base is usually creamy and approachable, while the pepper adds a spicy, aromatic kick. Some varieties contain whole peppercorns; others use finely ground pepper for a more even flavor. The result is a satisfying balance between creaminess and peppery bite.
