Chimay Poteaupré
Chimay Poteaupré is a Belgian abbey cheese made under the supervision of the Trappist monks of the Abbey of Scourmont in Chimay. During aging, the cheese is regularly washed with Chimay beer, giving it a subtly golden-brown rind and a distinctive flavor. The paste is semi-firm and supple, with a rich, nutty taste that hints at light beer notes. The name refers to the hamlet of Poteaupré, located just outside the abbey.
